Japanese Universities Dr. Ahmed Anwar Dezaye, the President of Salahaddin University, received Mr. Hitoshi Yazaki, the First Secretary in the Japanese Embassy inBaghdad. The University President welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of academic relations with Japanese universities to utilize the advances achieved by the Japanese academic institutions.

Minister Counselor from US Embassy-Baghdad Visits SU

SU—22/6/2011—To follow up the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which has been signed between Salahaddin University-Erbil (SU) and the US University of Cincinnati (UC),

a delegation headed by Mr. Quinn Martin, Minister Counselor for Public Affairs in the US Embassy-Baghdad, visited SU and was warmly received by Dr. Ahmed Anwar Dezaye, President of Salahaddin University-Erbil. In a meeting, which was also attended by Ms. Awat Dezayee, from the US Regional Reconstruction Team (RRT), Mr. Martin expressed his readiness to support the above-mentioned bilateral agreement which encompasses a variety of fields like English Language Teaching, Economy, Accountancy, and Banking. According to this Linkage Program, (20) lecturers and professors from Salahaddin University will be delegated to the US University of Cincinnati (UC) to participate in a teachers' capacity development workshop next July.
For his part, Mr. Quinn Martin, Minister Counselor for Public Affairs in the US Embassy-Baghdad stated that, for next year, they will delegate distinguished students from the departments of English Language, Economy, Accountancy, and Banking to participate in students' capacity development workshops to boost their scientific aptitude.
